I opened up a small handmade goods shop called "enjoy design" a little before Christmas 2007. In the beginning, I sold handmade envelopes made from vintage maps and blank white cards. Once I sold through my small stock, the shop remained quiet for a few months.
At the beginning of April 2008, I took a letterpress workshop at a local art studio. You can read more about the letterpress process here. I love the medium. I love coming up with unique ideas for text prints. I enjoy the rhythm of cranking the press and cutting paper. It's a beautiful art form. I am lucky to be able to work in it.
Since then, my shop has expanded to include custom stationery, art journal kits, greeting cards and small handmade journals. I am always hoping for a new idea. Something different and exciting to make + use.
