THAT RAINBOW QUILT / recommended tools
Below is the list of supplies needed to create your own version of THAT RAINBOW QUILT. Where applicable, I have linked to the exact products that I have. It's not necessary that you have exactly the same tool, something similar will work just fine. If you have questions about any recommended tools please email me at elise.blahaATgmail.com.
If you did not purchase the add-on materials you will need:
60x60 inch quilt batting (this is a standard size)
57x57 inch piece of fabric for the backing
1/3 yard of 60” wide fabric or 1/2 yard of any narrower width fabric
100% cotton thread (some of which will not be visible and some that will be visible)
In addition, you will need:
sewing machine (the one you have will work! this is mine.)
straight pins or fabric clips
iron & ironing board
rotary cutter, ruler and cutting mat (if you don’t have these tools you can make things work with just scissors. But if you think this is just the beginning of your quilting journey, I would invest in these three products)
masking tape or painters tape
safety pins (about 60 is ideal, but you can make it work with 40 or so)
washable fabric pencil or pen (optional)
embroidery floss and a hand sewing needle for signing your work (optional)
